Clients Benefit as ISCS Expands Fulfillment Capacity at New Location

Increased Redundancies & Security also Enabled by the Move

San Jose, CA - May 31, 2007 - ISCS, Inc., the makers of the innovatively different property and casualty policy administration system SurePower Innovation™ today announced a major expansion of fulfillment capabilities. ISCS complements its state-of-the-art insurance automation and management solutions by offering clients fulfillment services, including printing and mailing of policies, endorsements, notices, invoices and more to clients' insureds. The new ISCS facility showcases two large Xerox [insert model number] printers and several advanced folder/stuffers. The new ISCS facility showcases the new Xerox HLC128 highlight color printer and advanced mail insertion equipment from Bowe Bell Howell, Hassler and Neopost.

Andy Scurto, president and CTO of ISCS, noted, "We needed more capacity, as more of our clients want the benefits of a fulfillment service seamlessly integrated with their insurance processing system. Now we have room for growth and can provide our clients even larger economies of scale." ISCS currently prints 15,000 to 20,000 items per day. Tim Shelton, ISCS EVP, notes that clients receive more than a cost-effective printing solution, "Insurance printing is unique, and we bring unique insurance and data management expertise to fulfillment. We not only know where the data is coming from but also what the end product needs to look like, and why." The processing synergies give ISCS clients another layer of security, and keep them a step ahead as they work to keep their policy administration needs aligned with their fulfillment needs.

Security also received a turbocharge to its already strong processes with the expansion. ISCS added more redundant air conditioning, increased the size of back-up generators, and moved the data center for ASP services to the new location to benefit from the higher level of security. Andy Scurto notes, "While we hope our clients never need this level of back-up, it is reassuring to know it's there."

ISCS Chooses New Technology Partner, Innovex Technology, LLC

ISCS has chosen OpenFrameworkTM from Innovex Technology for the development of its latest product, SurePower InnovationTM. "OpenFramework (OFW) is a Java-based software development workbench adhering to all of our philosophies at ISCS and fulfilling all our requirements," said Andy Scurto, ISCS president. OFW uses three principal architectural approaches: Model-Driven Architecture, Service-Oriented Architecture and Model-View-Controller Architecture. "This trio of much-lauded design methods, combined with OFW's conformance to J2EE standards will allow ISCS to provide our customers a solid, supportable, secure, extensible and future-proof environment. This environment, coupled with ISCS's knowledge and current system functionality, will provide the best business solution in the market," added Scurto.

ISCS evaluated several potential solutions and chose OpenFramework because it met the following key criteria that ISCS client needs demand or will demand in the near future:
  • Systems must be accessible everywhere in the world by whoever needs access to the information. A Web-based Internet solution is the best way to provide this access.
  • Company information and privacy is critical. The technology must provide a secure environment.
  • Vendor lock-in limits options. Our customers need to be able to choose the vendors they want to work with, so our product should not lock them into one platform.
  • Companies are all sizes. The technology must be scalable in price and performance
  • Change is not only expected it's welcome. The technology had to make customizing the product easy and had to support customized software installations.
  • Tight integration with other systems and data sources is becoming a requirement, not a luxury. The technology needed to be built on industry standards for ease of integration.
  • Systems that ISCS clients require are enormous. The technology had to be sufficiently modular for a developer to be productive without being expert on the entire system.
  • Teamwork and collaboration are core ISCS philosophies. The technology had to have integrated source management with strong teamwork and collaboration control.
  • Technology tools are more then just a programming language. The technology had to be a complete workbench with a development methodology, a set of techniques for successful project completion, and an extensive library of reusable code.
  • Finally the solution had to be state-of-the art!
