SurePower Innovation® New Technology is Feature-Rich, Customizable, and Empowering Insurance Company Automation
San Jose, CA - June 6, 2004 - ISCS, Inc., the leader for over 10 years in the property and casualty automation industry, announced today the release of SurePower Innovation®, a third-generation solution for insurance processing and management. The new product builds upon the already extensive feature set of the previous product, SurePower 2000®, and brings state-of-the-art components to the underlying technology, with use of Java/J2EE, model-driven architecture, service-oriented architecture, and model-view-controller architecture. "We are excited about this release," said Andy Scurto, president and CTO of ISCS. "By working from the ground up, we were able to use the latest technology, based on industry standards, to make the robust feature set ISCS has developed over the last decade more integrated, open and extensible, as well as do some difficult things our clients had on their wish lists."
The new technology allows ISCS to provide even higher levels of customization for each of their insurance company clients and allows companies with an active IT staff to make their own modifications easily. "We are thrilled that we no longer have to be locked down to one platform. We can run on any platform with any database technology. The flexibility that Java gives us is incredible," said Dave Nockels, vice president of Information Systems at Oklahoma Farm Bureau. While optionally empowering IT staff with a state-of-the-art toolbox, OpenFrameworkTM from Innovex Technology, SurePower Innovation® remains a solution for insurance companies that do not have IT resources and want an automation solution that requires little to no technical staff. The new technology improves upon the modularity of previous systems, allowing sophisticated integration across insurance departments while still allowing each function to stand alone. Clients may choose the functions they need for their business. SurePower Innovation® allows automation of departments and individual functions, including underwriting, claims, receivables, Web portal services, document management, management vision tools, accounting, and payables.
SurePower Innovation® features include agent point-of-sale policy management and customer service, online quotes, rules-based underwriting, real-time policy issuance, automated reinsurance throughout a reinsurance cycle, reserve tracking and average reserving, lawsuit tracking, CAT tracking, fast-track processing, pended cash, automated non-pay cancellation and reinstatement, automated clearinghouse billing, agent sweep, lockbox processing, and out-of-sequence endorsements, to name a few. SurePower Innovation's Web Portal Module allows insureds to make online payments and report claims information.
SurePower Innovation® allows customer-defined, integrated workflows. Its advanced document imaging and object indexing allows authorized access to an insured's "file" from any location in the world and access to certain items is only granted to authorized individuals, with SurePower Innovation's advanced, customizable security. Integrated correspondence generation and automated tasks and reminders allow further integrated workflow.
